Answer:
It sounds like you will be in a position where you will be either reporting to various people or working closely with various people, and they want them to have some input in the hiring process. I have done one or two of these before, with board members of a non-profit agency. The most important thing I can tell you is to look sharp and be confident. Have in mind some important points about yourself (hopefully they are highly visible on your resume) that you can talk about if they ask, or mention anyway if given a good opportunity. It's logical that being a "team player" may be a big deal if this is a group interview, so focus on qualities and experience you have that would sell well with that in mind. Try and make eye contact with each member of the panel during the course of the interview, and look for other ways to connect with each of them if you can. For instance, if any of them are from a town you've lived in, or went to the same alma mater, or whatever. You may or may not learn this, but I'm just saying be on the lookout for any natural connections. It may be one of those "formal" interviews with the really though-provoking questions--just be ready to "bs" them on whatever subject they bring up. Or, it may be more casual, with this team just wanting to get a feel for the candidates. You will begin to sense the tone of the intervew from the onset probably, and so you should be able to "dress up" or "relax" your answers and presentation style in order to match them--by that I mean the level of formality and professionalism you present vs. just "being yourself". There is usually a happy medium somewhere that seems to be the expected level--just try not to be too folksy with a stuffy corporate crowd or too formal with a more laid-back staff. I'm guessing the cruise ship might be the latter & they will be looking for energetic, enthusiastic customer-service oriented employees, but again, you should be able to get a sense of that shortly after you walk in the room and play it that way! But be careful about trendy styles, mannerisms, or slang that would make you seem immature or less than responsible in any way--stay professional and sound educated regardless of the level of formality. Don't be nervous--just let them see the best YOU you can present & you should do fine!

the group interview is actually really important because interviewer is actually weaving out possible candidates for a one on one interview,, In my experience the other interviewees tried to get attention by speaking up all the time and asking 500 questions...I would say for your particular interview the interviewer might be interested in candidates with a good personality and customer service experience.. If you have both than you'll do great Good Luck!

They are also looking to see how you get on with other people. Are you the bossy one who annoyingly put themselves forward and first for everything and knows everything or are you the one who can express themselves but can also allow others to function also. So don't interrupt anyone. Answer or volunteer a few answers, but be democratic in allowing others to participate. Quietly confident and considerate, nice and easy to get along with, rather than the loud over confident type.

For cabin crew they gave us problems scenarios and as a group you try and solve it together. Then present your ideas afterwards. Its nothing to worry about. Just speak up, but also listen. Dont be negative about what other say, but say things like "I understand what you mean, but how about this as well". Show that you are a confident and comfortable team member, who enjoys to interact civilly with others. Dont dominate, but dont say nothing. And smile!!! All the best.

you will find that one person will answer question which you will answer, another will then try to change your mind by lobbing in different factors. Never be afraid to change your answer if the different factors warrant it, but state clearly 'if that is the case then I would ...' and so on. The questioners tend to be very amateur in their approach and often drift in to 'unreal' situations for which there can be no correct answer. Basically they are trying to find out if you are flexible in your approach to a situation. As things develop, so should you Good luck

Make eye contact with the person who is asking the question. Get in somewhere that you are a team player and enjoy working as an individual or in a group Good Luck and just be yourself

Multiple questions from everyone in the group, and they will chime in on other peoples questions and give you "what-if" scenarios.
