With your knowledge, you'd be better off working for yourself. Usually what you perceive as being a kick in the backside turns out to be a boost to the next level. Watch and see. :o)

This is life, Sweetie...these things happen, and if this is the worst thing that happens to you in your life, you'll be o.k. Pull up the bootstraps, re-group, you get 1 week to feel sorry for yourself, have a pity party, then it's time to get moving again. Reply to the email, ask the person why someone else was chosen over you. Just be professional and explain you just want to know if there was something you did, or didn't do for future opportunities. I've done this a couple of times, especially when everything went well. One of the companies came back a few months later and offered me the position when the other "chosen" person didn't work out. They told me it was because I made that call. It showed them I was interested in improving myself. It put my mind at ease to know it wasn't me, but something totally out of my control. You'll be fine...good luck, keep your chin up!

There is something better for you out there. Be patient, pray for happiness, and you may find something even better than your "dream job"

"Relax. Even when you get your dream job, you're going to be disappointed how quickly it morphs into a disappointment as people you like get promoted away, the business model changes, and new policies and politics gets implemented. There is no such thing as a permanent dream job. The very fact that you were perfect for it and they didn't pick you should make it obvious that this was NOT the dream job you thought it was. If they were that stupid to pass up on the perfect candidate, they would have certainly turned out to be a terrible place to work after all. Keep looking and remain confident. When the right job comes along, they will be as thrilled and excited for you to join them as you are to work there. Only appreciate it while it lasts... because inevitably, they never do."

First of all, if the person who is in charge there was that rude, then they probably wouldn't of made a very good boss. But life will move on and you will find a job better than that one. In the mean time have fun. look for a better job, you may have not gotten the one you wanted, but maybe you could find a job thats better than the one you're currently at. Keep busy in your spare time doing things that you enjoy. Read a good book, or find a craft that your good at. Hey, I have been in pre law progam for 3 years and have recently finished an internship with a judge.... People in my class that did 15 points worse than I on the "Law School Admission test" and had worse grades got accepted, ---I was sure I'd get in............and I didn't. It sucks, I feel for ya. I think I'm going to start drinking again. I find solice in the idea that it idiots rule the world. I suppose the comic strip "Dilbert" uses this same approach and it seems to ring true.
