Ok, so you CAN be hired when your 14 (at least in GA) places like Chick-fil-a, publix, kroger, ect; hire. But because your 14 the chances of actually getting the job are slim, because the hours you can work and the thing you would actually be able to do would be limited. But anyways, good luck!! :)

Make babysitting flyers using the computer and put them in the library, people's mailboxes, and grocery stores. Drum up more business and keep a notebook to schedule when you do get a customer. Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit. I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long. Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring. What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at.

Check your government website (just google your state/province/whatever and age restrictions and/or labour laws) if you want to know what jobs are available for kids your age. Personally, (as a fifteen-year-old) I'd rather work at the movies than McDonalds. You'd always know when the latest movie's coming out and I just like the atmosphere in theatres. A friend of mine works at the McDonalds in my town and she says there are certain things she won't eat anymore because she's either sick of them or knows what's in them. Another person in my grade I know works as a janitor at the school when class isn't in session. I'm not sure how libraries work where you're from, but at my school kids volunteer to help other kids check out books. Since there's usually not a lineup, they spend more time reading a book behind the counter than actually working.

Yes Mcdonald's does hire 14 year old's. Main thing is you can't cook at 14 or use deep fryers or anything that cuts so on that note. Grocery store bagger (they make tips too plus base wage), cashier, some daycare's for assistants. Some amusement parks, Busser (tips again too plus base wage), some walmart's also hire. You will need to check your area for that one. Cleaning jobs too. I hope that helps some and good luck to you. PS most states limit how many hours you can work and require you to take breaks.

I just answered this in another post. Try newspaper delivery. Even if you are too young I think you can still do it with an adult supervising you, Check your State laws for minor labor rules. That should give you plenty of answers.

I think the youngest most places hire is 15 or 16. Even so, you can watch people's houses, babysit, mow lawns, or sell crafts or something you can make... It's not much, but that's what I did when I was your age. I had a big collection of beads and made jewelry for all of my friends! Then, in high school, I went on to make purses for them. It's pretty fun if you're the creative sort.
