If you live in a rural area he might be able to get a job on a farm picking crops or other work there. If you're in city he may be able to get regular clientele for doing odd jobs like mowing grass, weeding, painting, cleaning up garages and attics, etc. Most states have a limit of 16 y.o. for work in restaurants, stores, etc. Check with your state to find out. I wish you and your son well as he learns a good work ethic and financial sense.

Well i dont know about your area, but where i live you have to be 15 to work at Krogers so wait a year and give him another summer to enjoy!

Just ask around the neighborhood- or amongst your family and friends, maybe someone needs their lawn mowed, dogs taken care of, car washed or anything of that kind.

I'm sorry, but he's too young to be employed. I'm pretty sure the legal age to work is 16. Send him to camp! They have many specialty camps, and I'm sure y'all could find one that meets his interests.

I am sure that he cannot be legally hired. In California, at least, he needs to be 16. But, is there a family member's business that he can help out at? Or, he could resort to the tried-and-sort-of-true and mow lawns, wash cars, and walk dogs for the neighbors. He could also try collecting cans and plastic for recycling.

In Ohio, you have to be 15 and 1/2 to get a work permit to work somewhere and 16 to work without a work permit, so he may not be able to get a "real" job. He could mow lawns or babysit if he is responsible. Maybe you could give him things to do.

Baskin Robins they hire alot of teenagers

That's not easy since he's not old enough for a work permit. He could volunteer somewhere like a local museum or day camp...but he wouldn't get paid.
