What does this mean on a job application?

I am filling out a job application and it asks for my "current employer", "current title" what does that mean?

  • I am filling out application and it asks me "current employer" and "current title" what does that mean? I need to know soon so I can finish this application

  • Answer:

It seems to mean in your case you would be unlikely to get the job as you don't know even that. Sorry but it is true. I am not trying to hurt your feelings but you could have looked this up in a dictionary and as you did not, I then think you have no initiative.

your current employer is the buisness you work for (mcDonalds, Dell, Kmart), and your current title, is like what you do (manager, hambergur flipper, grocer)

Katie Alexis

If you have a job it is the company you work for and your job title. If you don't have a job then don't answer the question

gembolatino

current employer: grocery store current title: cashier

Question_Guru

Current employer means, who you you are working with now, and current title means, what do you do in your job now, like what is your main duty, Example:Current employer- Waltmart, Target,,,, Current title- Customer service, warehouse. If you dont have a job just write down (Unemployed).

John

It means "where are your working now", and "what position do you have there". So let's say you are working in a McDonald's as a cashier, you write... Current employer : McDonald's Current title : Cashier If you have no job, well you leave it blank or write "unemployed"...

Your current business or job, and your position in that job. For example, in the police force, you would write "Sergeant", or "Lieutenant". It is the role that you play in the company. I hope that this helps!

Rocky

Stop and think about what the word "current" means.
