Why is the resurrection of Jesus associated with the Easter holiday? How does this fit in to your holiday?

Seriously? Easter is the celebration of Jesus resurrection from the dead. That came long before the rabbit/chocolate etc. Like Christmas got mixed with celebrating the winter solstice , Easter got mixed in with celebrating spring. Back in the day, religious or not, spring was a big deal. Food reserves were about gone and new growth was everywhere, new baby animals, snow gone, grass springing up all over; it practically begs for a celebration. Jesus resurrection is also about new beginnings. It was a perfect fit. How does it fit into my celebration? Well, when I was a regular church goer, I went to Easter sunday services. I no longer do that but I am still Christian, just not so hep on organized religion. I pray.
