find a new job and go for it don't give two week if she wouldn't extend two week courtesy why should you. you can't go after her for anything because you were breaking the law too there are forms for people who don't have there taxes taken out automatically and by you not doing this you broke the law also. so quit when you get hired for a new job and forget it

Yeah, call the government on her... typical loser that doesn't want to pay taxes. Gimme, gimme, gimme.. I dont' want to have to pay taxes. She would be in trouble, but YOU are going to be in trouble for not paying your taxes. People that get paid cash are responsible for paying taxes on their income. How do you think consultants do it? Just take the other job and move on.

Give the 2 week notice and if it gets ugly, leave and let your future employer know you could be available earlier than you expected.

Ya, Good luck. At least you have something to fall back on. Give the two week notice. Its a good idea to never burn bridges.

Quit and move on

I think you should try to stay away from the drama and just put your 2 weeks in and be done with it. Hope it helps

if your getting paid under the table, you can't sue. you obviously have been taken serious advantage of, and are under appreciated. whatever job you take next, even if it's mcdonalds would treat you better. don't give her a two weeks notice (it is the right thing to do, but this whole situation was just wrong) just leave.

Oh, I'd quit AND report her!!! Good luck with your new job.

You can't sue for being fired unless you can prove it was a wrongful termination. Firing you because you failed to show up for work isn't going to be one that will hold much water. You can go ahead and put in your two weeks now. It's not a legal thing, but more of a courtesy to your employer, because it doesn't hurt to be classy. You could report them to the IRS, paying you under the table for 30hrs of work is not legal, as they are not paying their taxes for it, and neither are you for the matter ---so you might want to think about that when the IRS starts asking for their money from you from your non taxed wages.
