    I'm not an expert, but there could be a couple of different reasons. For example they may need it because they need you to drive to different places (pick up supplies, go to other locations and so on). Now I am not a lawyer or judge. So I don't know what the penalty(ies) is/are for driving without a license or with a fake license. I would suggest talking to a judge. I believe that in some cases they can issue a temp license. I think you might have to prove that you need a car to get to and from work. If your job just needs some sort of an id. You may be able to get an id from your local police station. Some sheriff's depts. will issue an id.

dont do it. u will get into troubles if u do it. the best way is not to mess with law. once they discover u use the fake license, it will be really hard for u to find a job cuz it will be in ur record. speak to the manager, he will understand. if he is not, well, u will have to either accept ur position right now or find another job.
