What are the plastic easter eggs made out of?

Should I use hard boiled eggs or plastic eggs for an Easter egg hunt?

    i always loved staying up the night before Easter making eggs, but if the kids are not painting them, then you might want to just go with plastic. Also, if they are two, they might drop the eggs and, even though they are boiled, they will crack and might make a mess. Don't put hard candy in the eggs, try something softer like chocolate (if they can eat that). Make sure to stay away from anything with nuts, don't want to have any allergy troubles. I would say maybe five eggs per kid. Good luck with the Easter egg hunt. Either way you will probably be fine. It is nice to know that someone is doing something nice. good luck again!!!!!!

Either or but the plastic ones , the ones we have open and we put candies in them.Or they just like to find the different color eggs

I'd say hard boil a few dozen - maybe 6 per child, so a dozen would be good for two children. Then all you have to do is color them and they will hide easier. I don't think plastic is the best idea because unless you fill them with candy to weigh them down, they could move on either own. Plus parents of younger children might not want them eating chocolate and it would be disappointing to have empty eggs. Plus if they're boiled and the child drops them, the egg will crack but that won't harm anyone or cause a mess. Then after the eggs are found, collect them back and make a huge egg salad for everyone. That's how I remember egg hunts from when I was a kid, anyway - hope it helps! Good luck!
