Can I freeze a rose?

Can you freeze rose petals to preserve them?

  • i hve a dozen roses and thought maybe i could freeze the rose petals to save for my wedding day. is that possible

  • Answer:

no.... the water in the petals will act just like your bottle of water in the freezer... the frozen water expands..... in that expansion, the water in the cells of the petal will expand, too, and burst the cell walls... then when it thaws, all you'll have is goo... no more petals.....
