In the US, no notice, verbal or written, is reqquired to fire you. While technically you can sue anyone for anything, you can't win so you'd just be wasting your time and money.

Most states are "at will employers" which means an employer can fire you without cause anytime they want. You should sue for stupidity. How did you get a job?

You were employed at will and your employer was legally allowed to fire you for good cause, bad cause, or no cause. Your employer had no obligation to deliver the information in person or in a letter. You should consider this a painful learning experience.

Not really unless if you have a union agreement of some funky state law that says otherwise. You aren't legally entitled to either on a federal level.

This is America & people seem to sue for anything. I would question weather you will get much satisfaction though. I don't understand how it took 4 weeks to find out you were terminated. If you don't show up, for a month, my guess is the employer took it for granted you did not work for them. If your question is about obtaining your W-2, that is a different matter. Your employer is legally required to provide that. The question still remains, why wait 4 weeks? It seems the lack of communication is two sided. You also are responsible too. Get a different job & move on.

You need to provide more details. To me, not going to work for 4 weeks makes it kind of obvious you don't work there anymore. If you were given leave and they fired you, you may be able to file for unemployment, but a month without communicating with your employer is going to look like you weren't interested in the job. Suing them is not an option unless you're talking about discrimination or harassment.

If you can find a requirement in your state that you were required to get one. Pretty much no such requirement in most states. Try a discussion with the state Labor board.
