    The fact that you have a bachelor's degree in something completely different won't make a difference in getting a job as a transcriptionist. You need to go to an accredited school for it, typically a community college. You also have to work in a hospital for at least a year before anyone will hire you to work from home. Usually they require 3-5 years though, but some are just 1 year. Going to a school that is accredited by AHIMA so that you are eligible to take the RHIT examination may also help. But, you can't just start working from home.
