Why do we give chocolate easter eggs at easter?

  • Like i know why we celebrate easter and stuff but why give easter eggs like why not give chocolate crosses or something

    Well a cross would bit a bit much, biting off a chocolate Jesus' head is bound to be different than biting the ears off your chocolate rabbit....but eggs are a old symbol of spring/rebirth. Just a combo of old symbols and new. And candy

Yes, egg represent new life. But you don't have to celebrate easter with giving easter eggs or chocolate crosses. Just be your self; be creative.
