I'm a career coach and I will tell you that a cover letter effectively can open the door for that important interview. Or it can close it forever. Cover letters must be well-written and brief, usually a half page or so and certainly never more than one page. I gave you a link below with a sample cover letter all you have to do is copy and paste it into word and then edit it to your situation but i think it will help you (the sample resumes on this website even given tips at the bottom on how to catch a employers eye) Hope that helps
