Decent salary for Executive Assistant?

  • Answer:

I work for a CEO and I get about 35K. Just depends on how big the company is. And for the person who answered first, some people I know with a Bachelor's don't even have a job. So having a degree doesn't automatically mean a lot of money. It depends on what your degree is in.

You have experience. How proficient are you in all of the MS Office products and possibly Word Perfect? You can google the Occupational Outlook Handbook. It is a government website and offers free information on salary. Depending on the company and your skills, you could make as little as you are making now or up to $50 or $60k. However, the higher salaries are usually given to those with years of experience and those that already have their Bachelors. Start researching companies you are interested in and see what they generally offer.

it depends on the size of the company and the boss you follow around. Until you get your bachelor's i would not expect tops 40K. However, when you get your degree, that may go up depending on what you got your degree in, what school it came from and what your major was. In my honest opnion, i think if you have a bachelor's degree you should be doing something more than being an Executive assistant.
