Should I be honest about being previously fired, on future job applications that I fill out?

it depends on when you were fired. was it recent or something from a thousand years ago. have you worked consistently or have not been fired since then. i would hope nobody in hr with the proper credentials and background would use this in evaluating you for the current job. since you have been fired you are probably in the majority.

Only a few months ago, I was suspended from duty, while I was suspended I applied for another job, at the interview I was completely honest about what had happened and guess what? They didn't care and asked me when I can start. Bosses will have screwed up themselves at some point so they understand. I suggest telling the truth and working out good mitigation as to why what happened happened. If you lie and they find out, they can immediately dismiss you.

Be honest about it because when you pit them down for recommendations..if you do, then they'll find out anyways and if you lie to them then they might not hire you because you lied.. People want honest workers.
