I'm thinking about becoming a medical transcriptionist....need advice!?

Hi I'm a transcriptionist (medical and general) and I'm set up as an independent contractor working from home (virtual assistant), so I have many clients. I found heaps of info on the site below in the transcription section on starting up, finding clients, etc.

One of my friends did some on-line training which did not work out for her. She was not able to find a job. Another friend found a place that offerred training and an internship for 1 year after successful completion of the program. (She did not finish the program, though).
