Well, with the economy like this, it may be harder to get one. Start around to see if you can find some entrl level position by lookin at employment websites. HR Assistant and Medical Billing are harder to get because they require experience - at least 2 years from where I'm from. Sometimes they even require a 2-4 yr degree (which i find is very rediculous for such position. experience should speak for itself already). Data entry and receptionist are easier to get, but like I have previously said, with the economy like this, everyone wants the "best of the best." Look around and apply for as much as you can. They are able to make exceptions if you "wow" them.

To begin with, if you haven't already done this, you may want to ask around about the four jobs you have selected to determine if they really are the right fit for your skills and interests. Talk to friends and family, school counselors, research on the Internet (like you're doing here). These same contacts may also be able to point you in the right direction for leads on jobs. Or you may want to take a class or two at your local college to see if you enjoy the work. Though I can tell you as a human resources professional with over 20 years experience, I have been very happy with my career choice, and I started out as an assistant. It generally involves processing applications for employment and benefits, helping people fill out forms, entering new hire information into the computer and things like that. You might want to go to a temporary service and see if they can place you in a temp assignment in one of these fields so you can get experience. Regular employment agencies might not be helpful if you don't already have experience. Your state department of employment is a great place to start because often times they offer training programs. One of the best first office jobs to get is as a receptionist where you have the opportunity to answer phones and do light clerical work all while you find out about other areas within the company. If you have a professional appearance and are good talking to people, you might want to try it. Hope this helps. Best of luck!

Go to at least three employment agencies and register there, check your local classifieds and go to craigslist.com. Also, just an FYI, don't type in all caps, it is seen as shouting and considered rude.

Have you done your resume yet? You like computer related applications, medical billing would not make you happy (am doing that now, and would not be the way to go with what you said you did in high school). Unless you could get your foot in the door and work into the computer side of a business you may find that the clerical side of things is not where you want to be. Do you have any technical schooling, college - check with them for job placement service. Look at temporary/placement agencies. They will test your skills, and could place you in a temp to permanent position (this is always my fall back when I have no luck with regular job listings). Look on-line at "Hot Jobs" or other websites for jobs that are looking for one year or less experience. Yes, also try your local department of labor, they may have access to jobs that are not listed anywhere else. Well, good luck - remember work on that resume, emphasize your skills if you don't have job experience, just try to relate them to what job your applying for.
