Approximately 3 mos. The reason why job hunting is difficult is due to the economy, I think we are slowly but surely following into a recession, possibly another Great Depression... main reason is that jobs are being outsourced to other countries where cost for labor & manufacturing is cheaper.

It really helps having contacts... its almost impossible to get the 'perfect job' you want right after collage, especially if you don't have a masters because a bachelors degree is pretty much useless. Whether your looking for fun odd jobs or an actual career your best bet is to get to know the people involved in or are part of the company and START NETWORKING! when you know the inside people or just in friendly terms with them, you will know about a position once it becomes available. I took a workshop on it apparently more then 80% of employers give jobs to people they know of because someone put in a good word. And they almost never bother going through online resumes.

I think cause most employers want someone with experience. Does your college have any job fairs for new graduates? If so, the employers that come to those fairs are usually looking for young, fresh inexperienced meat. Or, if your willing to move, look for jobs in fast growing cities like Charlotte NC, Austin TX or Jacksonville FL. More businesses, more jobs. Good Luck :)

1 day. Finding a job is not that hard, but people try to be way to choosy. I have several years in a completely non related field to truck driving, but I needed a job and was not willing to make someone else support me while I found one in my field of expertise. I instead enrolled in truck driving school and started a new career path. It hasn't always been easy, but there are thousands of driving jobs that can't be filled due to not enough people who are willing to do it. Therefore, I am fairly unsympathetic to people who whine that it is so hard!

because theres a lot of people in the world and a lot of competition.
