What department would you choose to work apart from food and beverage in the hotel?

    I have my Hospitality & Tourism Management Diploma and I've always wanted to do Event Management but somehow fell into Catering (F&B). Although I enjoy it for now, I dont see myself doing that in a couple of years. To answer your question, because you have an administration back ground, try for reservations or event becoming a coordinator for the events that they have at the hotel. I dont know much about reservations but I'm a Catering Coordinator and it is really helping me understand events so that I can one day become an Event Coordinator instead.

Executive Administration. Work on climbing up a managerial ladder. Be a department head and then go for the GM spot. From there, work on being the VP of Operations over 2 or more hotels. Work up from there.
