Answer:
I am no authority but I have been a restaurant manger for many years. When I look at a resume I look at your job history, and longevity. I assume applicants want a job that will fit their schedule and they feel they are qualified for. Why you feel you would be good for the position and why you feel it would be good for you, would be things I would be looking at. The other things I look for is realiabilty! so anything you can put in your resume that would make think you are would be that way would be great. If you don't have much work experience list things that you may done at school that would make me think you are realiable. So a section of accomplishments might be in order. Don't put a section of objectives saying you want to make a success as a fast food employee. if you feel you need to put something of that nature state you want position that will experience working with the public and to allow you the time to reach your real goal (whatever that maybe). Be ready to offer a list of references too. You don't need to wait to ask for them, offering them at the end of the intrview tells the interviewer you as interested in the position and you have nothing to hide. hope this helps I hope this helps you

I am looking at getting a new job soon and have been reading about resumes. I've read about putting career overview and key strengths up the top of your resume but not an objective. I'm in Australia so maybe it's different where you are? I googled careerone.com.au which is a job seeking site with positions vacant and lots of advice and it had sample resumes. I still didn't find one with an objective on it. Maybe have a look at this site if you have time and look at these samples for some ideas. I think you are on the right track though. Do you have some referees you can ask and put down? As you are going for a service orientated job, I'd also try and beef up this in your strengths section e.g. excellent communication skills gained from blah blah blah. Good Luck.

Objective: to be the best food dispenser ever; to rise up the ranks of a fast food empire and be known far and wide for my special wrist-flip that was perfected through decades of chronic masturbation. I didn't know you needed to have a resume when applying for fast-food joints like McDonalds. But if you are writing one, then you just gotta put a very conventional objective, I suppose.
