please search for"MOM singapore"....... and check out IT job... rent is too high.... even a housemaid will earn around 15 sd an hour.... .... for sings rent is cheap... .food is delicious ....costs only 2-10 sd for a meal.....engineers are paid compartively low....any way work with the best.... For your experience and industry its actually about average. Freshers get about 1900/month. Living expenses for a single person renting a single room close to their place of employment spend roughly 1200-1500/month, so you'll be saving quite a bit after tax (20% of gross income for foreigners). Living standards are very very high for executives such as yourself on that income. You can afford a nice car, good place, and ave enough left over to enjoy the nightlife. Only negative thing i have to say is that Singaporeans can be a little racist at times towards Indians, but thats the same anywhere you go in the world I think. Main thing is to enjoy the culture, hang out with many different kinds of people and you'll do well. Also helps if you can learn Mandarin or Hokkien, it goes a long way to help you in your quality of life there.
