I'm applying for a job in a supermarket and one of the questions says 'what makes a job here right for you?'?

What do I say?! It's no more than 150 words by the way, and the job is to work at the food service counter. Any ideas? please help!

Answer:
They basically want you to convince them on why they should hire you. Tell them you are good with working it people. You are a team player, you learn very fast and are interested in a career in branding and marketing. And that learning about branding from the ground up you think will be a good exposure for you.

There are a couple of things you can do - first look at the job description and tailor your response to address the description - so if it says we are looking for someone with good people skills, then say "This job would be ideal for me, as I have great people skills" It is always good to give an example. The STAR system is good to use say the above bit then give a SITUATION or TASK in which you showed good people skills, the ACTION you took, the RESULT you achieved. Do this for one or two of the skills descriptors. Good Luck

Well they want you to basically brag about the place so 1) you state how this supermarket is in the perfect location and has like the most clientel 2) you state your passion (doesnt hav to be true) for the supermarket industry 3) you state you passion about the food service ( wont be bad if you give them like an interresting fact in the middle, something weird about preserving food ) 4) you say how it has always been your dream to do this, or if that sounds too much, just say that you dreamed of being smothing ( with the same qualities) and give examples 5) then continue by saying that your a memenber of the comunity and how you would like to stand on the other side of the counter for once, and see how it goes... good luck :)
something along the lines of motivated, hardworking, reliable etc. doubt they care that much
