My job uses this as it's Hospitality rules. -Always be on time or early for your shifts -SHow up in full uniform -Want to Work -Work with Heart and Soul (meaning be passionate about your job) -Have a good time. We also have the Hospitality Zone. 10/5/First and last -Meaning that if someone is 10 feet away you should smile and make eye contact. Within 5 feet you should speak to them. Be the first person to speak and the last to speak. 3.The most important person in the restaurant is the guest that is dinning.

You might consider putting the ones with "staff" at the beginning. Some hotels pride themselves on a well-trained staff willing to do anything for a guest. Then phrase #2 so that you work in some reference to making guests feel welcome by your courtesy, attitude etc...see list on #1. Guests should be comfortable, cared for, and want to return....that is the goal. The customer is most important in the restaurant.

I wouldn't call them "trick" questions. I would say they are questions meant to understand your personality and whether you will be a good fit, and if so, which position would be best. The best answer is your own, based on your thoughts/feelings. In the long run, this will likely make for a more pleasant work experience for you and the employer.

This is not a trick question, this is a test to know about your weak and strong points, and get a general attribute of the person, they will find out if you are courteous, clean/sloppy, organized, etc. There are no right or correct answers. However, I can give you a tip. "customer is king anywhere".
