HELP I got hired as a waitress how to be the best waitress ever..!?

Write down all orders completely so you don't have to guess what they wanted. Memorize all the menu items. Take a menu home with you. Talk to the chef about the ingredients in all the items. At some time the customers will ask you about every one. Do this between lunch and dinner shifts when there is time to talk. Whenever you have a free minute, fill water glasses. Try to sell something to each table. Something they would not have ordered by themselves. That makes people remember you..

waitressing sucks i hate it but it will be different for everyone and for the peope who said that it was 'very easy' is not true there's a lot of hard work and customers will be your biggest issue because they ***** and complain about EVERYTHING so get prepared for it. try it out see how you like it....

Hi this is so great! I love aspiring young waitresses :) I have waitress for the last 7 years since I was 16 and I love it. It will make you life Easier since you are pretty. You can get cute guys to do your work (like side work, rolling silver wear, takeing tables you really just don't want) for you but you have to bate them in to it. While your talking just lead them in to it. When waitressing it's important to be in a good mood most of the time. Even in the back be peppy and happy, it gets tirering if you have to fake happy for your tables all the time. Listen to the advice of your fellow servers. When your in training follow your coach closely, we don't call you a shadow for no reason. I can't tell you how my times I have turned around to teach my follow Somthing and they arnt there. You will learn faster if you stick close ( I hope you get a cute guy, that makes it easier). Remember it's ok to ask questions, exspecialy since you have never done this before. Most servers like to answer questions, it's kinda fun. And I suggest for at least a while write down all your orders, it's normal that most servers do, and it helps you get the order right.
