What kind of jobs can i get with a baking and pastry arts degree?

Usually when you start working after school you should take a job that is going to teach you. You may say "That's why I went to school!", but trust me, you don't know enough. There are many avenues you can take. ( ex.: restaurants, hotels, bakeries, teaching, chocolate shops, pastry shops, wedding cake shops, large factory food production, ect.) You need to decide what is going to make you happy. The food industry is not right for everyone. The hours are long and the pay is not always great, but if you love it and you stick with it it can be very rewarding. There are many websites posting jobs. i would go for my own business......start from your own house bake some cakes take pictures of them and start advertising and if your really good you will be in business..i saying this because i know someone did this with baskets... o yeah a get you a web site...good luck
