Im in the same situation. Just Apply Apply Apply and dont give up. If they ask it looks best to provide specific times available instead of any. Although try not to make the times too limiting. Look at their opening hours as a guide. Try online applications but walk ins are more reliable. And always go back in like four business days and check up on your application in person. Have great posture and eye contact with all employees. And accurate references! Good luck girl.

Everyone has to start somewhere. I would find something that interests you: working with kids, cooking, the outdoors, and get an entry level position anywhere in the industry. Once you've made some good contacts it'll be easier to move into a higher position and do something more interesting. Assuming your in a city, even suburbs. Purchase a good window cleaner (TSP), rubber gloves, squeegee, and clean absorbant cloths. Then goto businesses or residences and offer to clean windows. If you have a strong work ethic and desire than you can make money doing this and build a good set of references. References will make it easier for an employer to hire you. Also by starting this yourself show that you have desire to work and are a self starter. You can even keep your accounts after you get a full time job.

Try asking your parents if they have any friends that would hire you. Otherwise you can work at Macy's if your 16, otherwise you should check out stores that are not chains because they wont have a set of requirements they have to fill when hiring someone.

Fast food. They'd hire you without any experience and you'll get a decent paycheck. Most retail stores want some kind of experience so work at say Mc Donald's for a year. They pay 8 dollars an hour in most states and are really flexible in hours, you get customer service and register experience.

Try looking up a temp agency on a site such as www.yelp.com and submitting your resume there. Or you can post your resume on a site like monster or look on craigslist.org

hello

get in somewhere where one of your friends works. Employers love to get referrals
