any suggestions about what I should do ?

Answer:
If you can remember the street name, list that and put "went out of business" on the form. That should be sufficient enough, especially if it's been a while since you worked there.

If it went out of business , just tell them that . You would be surprised sometimes employers no of the places you may be speaking of .

Just put down the town/state. That's good enough!!

Interesting... Normally, You wouldn't need the exact address for a resume. Example: http://www.howtomakearesume-today.com/entrylevelresume.html Robert Resumecrazy
I worked at ames in the address part I put out of business, if written.

Call the Chamber of Commerce in the town where the job was. They might be able to give you the address. The Chamber of Commerce should be listed in that town in the phone book. Also, see if you can find any reference to the company on the Internet (google it).

One thing you can do is "google" them. You may be able to locate an old listing. Aside from that, you may check your old tax records (W-2's, pay stubs, etc.) or an old telephone directory.

As long as it is not your only reference and you were not the cause for it going out of business it should not be a problem. Exact addresses may are not be important. Should be nothing to worry about.

I'm assuming you're worried about the check out things. The references I mean. In this case, you should put an address, but it is not compulsory. Just place a contact phone for a certain referee. http://www.cvtips.com/references_call_after_job_interview.html But when listing the job itself, you should not put the address, so don't worry.

You should be able to just use the city and state. If they really want to check your dates of employment there there are ways for HR to do it without knowing an exact address--especially since the business is no longer there. Good luck!!
