I just got my first job at mcdonalds and i need help?

i need to get off on sundays because its the only day my whole family is home but im scheduled to work sundays... how would i go about getting off sundays?

Answer:
You don't. Like everyone else, you have to be available to work on the busy days, and those with the most seniority get first pick on scheduling. If you talk to your manager, you may be able to work a different Sunday shift, or have a Sunday off every 3-4 weeks. Until you have been there at least six months a manager is not going to be very impressed if you want Sunday off, as do almost all adults with families who work at McDs.

You should have brought this issue up BEFORE you took the job. You can ask but don't be surprised if you are refused. Everyone likes having Sunday off and you are a new hire and new hires get last pick of days off.

you tell your manager you cant work sundays, cos your parents wont let you, you have to go to church, whatever you do, dont ask if you can have it off, you tell them, "I CANT WORK SUNDAYS MY PARENTS WONT LET ME" the end. That way its not open for discussion. And whatever you do, dont work them. Its your life and ur entitled to it, dont let them make you a slave

As at any place of employment: just talk to a manager. It's just that simple.

Depends on your manager and if there is someone to cover your shift. You knew going in it was a 7 day operation.
