A hospital or nursing home as an aid A hotel or motel as a maid A fast food establishment for anything but manager -- need a food handler card A grocery store as a stocker or box boy/girl to start landscaping service companies need manual labor maid service companies need maids manufacturing - line worker animal shelters, veterinarians, zoos -- cleaning and taking care of animals banks -- training programs for tellers, often through a partnership high school placement program office worker -- also through high school placement program after taking vocational type classes Another idea is to think about what kind of work you would enjoy and find someone who does that kind of work and ask them if they would like an assistant or apprentice. Tell them you want to learn about their field and would very much appreciate the opportunity. Be careful how you go about asking for that kind of work because you may end up with a volunteer job instead of getting any money in your pocket. The experience though could be worth much more than what you would be making. I'd consider plumbing. Plumbers usually make a very good living, but the work can be quite physical and nasty sometimes. A plumber might appreciate having a youthful physically strong person help him do things and would probably pay very well.

I work in the HR department of a national grocery chain however I was in your position a couple years ago, and I can say that a majority of our part time evening cashiers are under 18. It is a decent place, if you dont mind a rough schedule, varying tasks, and if you have alot of patience and can smile no matter what. As someone who has hired and fired several people.., here is my advice. Make a great impression on your application - immediate turn offs are misspelled words, sloppy handwriting, incomplete, a restrictive schedule, or a history of not staying with an employer. We are always impressed when an applicant has a resume and reference letters, lists skills that can be used while working for us. When you get called for the interview, dress in a tie. Period. I am always impressed when the interviewee can answer articulately, addresses me with respect, and is prepared for whatever question I may ask. Usual questions that we ask are... Why do you want to work here, Why should I hire you? If I was to call your teachers or previous employers, what would they tell me about you? and also .. What is your favorite subject, what are your grades like, do you turn in your assignments on time. Pay attention to what the interviewer has said, so when they ask if you have any questions... you can build off something that they said. But, be careful about asking about items which could give a bad impression... As an example, I had a student who came in poorly dressed but had a great attitude.., however towards the end he kept asking about getting time off, and if nose / eye/ tongue piercings were allowed. Well, he didnt get the job. Remember, be as honest as possible, and dont get too nervous. Good luck, and if you are ever in cny, look me up. Im the regional HR assistant director for Weis Markets. Oh, and Im only 19.

Fast Food in general would be good. I never liked it myself, but I enjoyed the pizza route. Since you are under 18 your options are limited. You can't really do any jobs around machinery or anything. You might try working at a walmart, or a grocery store. Maybe go to a local mall and get applications. If all else fails, ask around at school, assuming you go to high school still, or even college. Talk to a guidance counselor, they might have a list for job openings. Talk to friends who have jobs and see if they can talk to someone. Maybe friends parents can help out as well.

We are currently hiring professional Eskimos. You just need to be good with a harpoon. Age doesn't matter. Seal skinning would be a plus.
