What does a LPN do and how much do you get paid?

How much do you get paid as an lpn? or rn?!?

  • i'm from canada (british columbia), and i'm taking my lpn right now. i'm just curious as to what the pay is like else where. thanks!

  • Answer:

Really depends on where you live and what type of nursing you do. The wages are going to be pretty different between hospital nursing, homecare, nursing home, school nursing. I work as a Homecare nurse - make about 20/hr (RN, BSN) in PA. My daughter is a PICU nurse - makes 25/hr (RN, BSN) - travel nurse.

Lpn get paid pretty good money about 18.00 and hour here in the states, Rn get at least double the amount than an lpn would.
