What is forest conservation?

Planting seeds with dirt from a conservation area forest?

    I have went to the pine forests around my home to get some of that first cpl inches of soil.that soil is full of decomposing leaves needles etc its great!Thats how forests grow,with their own they make their own organic matter.look it up-lots of sites tell you how to mix it with garden soil.I take it and put into my compost and mix well with manure kitchen scraps and then in a month or two mix in well with the garden soil.As long as your not digging up the trees or disturbing the environment I see no reason not to .I sure would here a site thats very informative about the use of pinetree soil and the myth that its not good to many ppl http://www.gardenguides.com/130318-pine-trees-acid-soil.html

It depends on the kinds of plant you want to grow. Some plants need more nutrient soils others not so much. But if you really want to know you could research the plants to figure out if they need more nutrients or not. I hope this helped you C: . I would have just thrown my plants in any soil depending if they are hardy or not, but thats not the best thing to do. So the best thing is to research if your plants need nutrients or not. It will be o.k. to use the soil.But what kind of trees grow there?If you have only pine, you will not have many nutrients in the soil.
