  I agree with everything Simpson said, particularly about the lines. I've cruised twice out of PR and what really nice about tit is you start out somewhere cool. When you sail out of FL, you are i…well…Florida. It takes a day to get anywhere. The down side is you have to pay to fly to PR. Decide what you can afford, then ask friends who have cruised if they have a good travel agent. Travel agents don't cost any more than booking direct, but they can make things a lot easier for you. They can also suggest cruises that suit your budget and preferred itinerary.
