Is it difficult to become a medical technologist?

Should i become a Dental Hygienist or a Medical Lab Technologist?

    Pick medical lab techonolgy! There are more jobs available and you can apply to hospitals and private labs. There are very few jobs as a hygienist AND most hygiene jobs are only part time with NO benefits (not even health insurance!). AND most hygienists are women. There are more male nurses than male hygienists in the work force. I don't know why but even personally I have NEVER had a man clean my teeth. That is because I have never seen a male hygienist in a private practice. Many dentists won't hire males because they want all their hygienists to get along and some dentists are anti-male hygienists.

Well the choice is yours really, do you like teeth better or .... whatever a medical lab technologist deals with? BTW i dont think many male dental hygienists exsist. Its mostly females and the dentists are males. In the end its what you prefer. I wanted to become a dentist too, but i know there is no way i could make it into dental school. Good luck with your choice though!
