Does a medical assistant with an associates degree make more than a certified medical assistant with no degree?

If I already have my Associates degree does that make me certified?

  • I graduated in 2006 with ***. degree in applied science and I was recently asked about certification, now does that make me certified or do I still need to do that as well.

  • Answer:

Certifications usually apply to something specific. Applied Sciences is kind of broad. Ex: Certified Public Accountant. It usually requires a degree and an exam of some sort after obtaining a degree. Who asked you about certification and describe the scenario. Was it a job interview? What was the job for. Perhaps that particular career field requires certification. There is probably an exam you need to take

Certifiable maybe!

College graduation does not make you certified. If you contact your college, you may ask them about this. So far, I cannot see that you have any job skill other than those doing minimum wage or slightly better..
