Answer:
Community college would be a faster route, and probably a lot cheaper. If you want to get into supervision, a BSN would be helpful and often required - if you want to work on the floor, the RN is likely enough. If you get the RN, there's nothing to stop you from completing the BSN later. Good luck.

Just an added note to the above- At my hospital, only RN's with BSN's are permitted to work in pediatrics as well as the NICU... so if thats what you're after, best to take an accellerated BSN program (its quicker if you already have a degree)
