In the health care field is a medical assistant the same as a Lpn ?

Medical assisting and LPN are different. The courses you take are similar, but the responsibility is different. You can get a degree in medical assisting and then go on to become an LPN, you make just have to take a few more classes, but most LPN programs are 1 year unless they have an accelerated program because you are already a medical assistant. A medical assistant works more under the supervision of a doctor while an LPN has their own license and can work more independently.
