Can I become a nursing assistant?

Can you become a Physician's Assistant with a B.S. in Nursing?

  • Could you go on to become a Physician's Assistant with a B.S. in Nursing, or would you have to get a B.S. in Biology or Chemistry, or some other science-related degree?

  • Answer:

yes, you could. You probably would want to (and may have to) take some higher caliber science classes on the side to be competitive and get some more background. Look at a few of the programs web sites to get an idea of what the minimum requirements are--keep in mind these are the absolute minimum and it is a very competitive program.

Yes, you can. Like others have said, most schools will still require you to complete the pre-requisite courses. You may need to take O.Chem, Biochem, a year of General Chemistry, a year of Biology and Genetics (if you haven't taken these courses already).

Usually is a PA program just like Nursing program. You always need to complete your pre-reqs and complete a lot hour of work hours prior to being accepted into the program.
