Can someone receive a Doctorate in Ozone Therapy?

Someone told me that nurses in the USA only practice "Intravascular Therapy" instead of Intravenous therapy..?

  Intravascular and intravenous are similar terms. Whoever told you that nurses only practice "intravascular therapy was mistaken. Intravascular therapy is associated more with arteries and arterioles, while intravenous of course refers to veins. Medications are normally injected into a vein and not an artery. This has been, and is still common practice. It is not "old school". Presently only doctors do arterial procedures. Arteries are used for surgical procedures such as inserting stents, dissolving blood clots and removing blockages. In very difficult cases where a vein cannot be located for anesthesia during a surgical procedure, the anesthesiologist will use an artery. In some rare cases of cancer, chemotherapy meds will be introduced into an artery. Presently nurses are not certified to do arterial therapy in the USA.. Although they frequently do arterial sticks for blood gases. There is no reason that a nurse with sufficient training and experience could not do limited arterial therapy.(aside from a surgical procedure) In each case the particular state in which the nurse is located must allow it, and so must the hospital.
