I need Ideas for inexpensive christmas gifts. Tell me all your ideas.?

I think gift baskets are a GREAT idea. You can go to the dollar store even, and make someone a great gift. Everyone likes something. It depends on their personality, so I can't suggest specifics. I love making and receiving gift baskets. They take more time then just going and buying the newest DVD or something they want like that. I am a very crafty and COMPLETELY understand where you are coming from w/ the money issue! Hope I helped a bit, I will keep track of this to see ideas. :)

this year money is short so I've decided to bake cookies for everyone. I got an idea earlier this year on an attractive box design using a candy box as a template (one that folds up all neat-like) and then using baking cups to separate the types of cookies. Or making crunchy cookies sturdy enough to just be tossed in.

Well if you and your daughter know how to knit you could knit hats and scarves. And you can make a whole much of frosted cookies (you can never go wrong with cookies) you could also make quilts from old fabric and clothes. Good luck!!!

I suggest that you try something "from the heart". I recently had an aunt turn 50. I don't usually get her a gift, just a card. But turning 50 is a milestone so I decided to get her something. I didn't really know what to do so I went to the Dollar store and looked around. I found small items at $1 each and I came home and wrote her a very nice letter about how she made an impression in my life. I described each item and what it reminded me of. Like for example: A cookie jar reminded of how she always liked to bake with us kids when we were little. Or A bag of potpourri (apples and cinnamon) reminded me of the smell of her home. I wrote the letter with alot of compassion and love. Two weeks later I received a letter from her telling me how wonderful the gift was and it was nice to know that the little things she did with me meant so much. She said it was one of the best gifts she ever received. Maybe this will open your mind up to a creative way to let your family members know how much they mean to you~Good Luck~

do you like to bake? You can do peanut brittle or cookies or cake in a jar, decorate them with pretty ribbons and what not, and wallah.
