What is the difference between a Nurse Anesthetist and an Anesthesiologist?

    It depends on what you want. Becoming an anesthesiologist, and being one, would be a challenge in itself. But I will tell you this, anesthesiologists make 2 to 3 times as much as nurse anesthetists. But that is only because the worked harder to become what they are, and because they job is more difficult.

CRNA!! nursing for sure! med school is waaay more expensive and way longer. nursing is the most versatile profession in the world. if you decide to change from anesthesia to something else, being a nurse means you can go almost anywhere and do just about anything. MD means you have to be an anesthesiologist, period (i think). Also, when you get ur associates or BSN you can work full or part time as an RN making $20-30 an hour while you finish school.
