    Nursing is a great job! RN and LPN are very different in terms of scope of practice, training, and salary. That said, to get your bachelor or science in nursing it usually takes 4-5 years. You can easily make a six figure salary if you work overtime. You'll graduate making about $35-40 an hour and that will increase as you work your way up the food chain. You can do anything with nursing and you can take it anywhere in the world. There's actually an extreme shortage of nurses! Lots of them are retiring (baby boomers) and not as many people are going into the program. Every hospital I can think of is hiring. As an RN you will NEVER be without a job. Of course it's stressful, but it's also very rewarding.

I would say nursing is a good job, if it interests you. You are constantly caring for patients, so yes I would say it is stressful. Hospitals are in significant need of nurses, the medical field grows more every year. If you are looking to be a RN training last 3-4 years and your income would be $62, 450 a year.
