Answer:
To the poster above RYAN , my community college offers a Bachelor's program (BSN) so you are wrong. EDIT: apparently Ryan decided to delete his answer. Each college is different. As a nurse you need to have the skills do to the research yourself, so go to your college's website and look up program info. They list ALL info there. If you still have questions then call an adviser. They'll be happy to help. As far as salary, it depends on your area and where you are working, as well as the yrs of experience, shifts you work and certifications you have. I cannot answer that for you but you can go to salary.com and plug in general info like location, degree, etc and see what the average is. The average in FL for a new grad is 63,000. Keep in mind you'll also want to have your own liability insurance because the place you work will only cover themselves, not your license. It's about $100 a year and well worth it. Back to the classes, as I mentioned, most have a tough and competitive admissions process. You'll also need to take an entrance test. Most places have general education such as math, english, humanities, anatomy & physiology 1 & 2, Microbiology, Chemistry and HPA. It all depends on your school. Nursing is NOT easy, underpaid and hard work. Go to allnurses.com and read some of the forums. Be prepared. Good luck!

Community college don't grant Bachelors degrees, you have to go to a 4 years university for that. If you want to know what classes you'lll need, go to their website and look it up.

You would apply to the nursing program. It would contain all the classes you need. If you look under curriculum for the nursing program it will have all the subjects listed. Nursing salary is not the same everywhere. It depends on where you work and years of experience. It is not just one rate every job.

"HonestAnswer" is correct in that some community colleges now offer BSN programs, but it doesn't appear that Calhoun is one of them: http://www.calhoun.edu/Health/prospective.htm To see what courses are needed for either full time ASN, part time ASN, or Practical Nursing (LPN), click on the link above and then choose the option under each program description marked "curriculum".
