Well, I have bad news and good news. The bad news is that your army training does not carry over into the civilian world. You still have to go to school. The good news is your knowledge will help you in your schooling. You may even take your classes while in the military. Since you are planning on serving 4 years, you can get your bachelors degree instead of just an associates, which will benefit you in the end. You will need to take all of the courses. Most good schools will not allow you to test out of any course based on military experience-with the exception of your CPR/AED/First Aid for the Professional rescuer certification if you have it.

You don't need a 4 year degree, you can get an Associate's Degree and become an RN if you don't want to go for the BSN right away, as long as the program is accredited. While your Army medic experience will help in the practical sense, it won't give you any advantage when it comes to your education, you'll have to complete a nursing program just like anyone else in order to be eligible for your board exam / license. There may be a few non-nursing courses like biology, chemistry, and anatomy / physiology which might allow a "test out" option, but that's up to the individual school.

the same as every one else except you would have more experience equal to an LPN/LVN no short cuts for anyone some states if you wanted to challenge the boards LPN/LVN you may be able to skip the school/clinical parts
