Which job make more lawyer or surgeon?

    It all depends on how your career setting is at the time. There are many poor lawyers and surgeons. When you get through paying for medical or law school-there is debt. If you are a surgeon you will pay insurance, which at times can be a little under half of what you make!! In both of these careers the person pursuing the jobs usually may start their own business which is very financially draining. I would think that a surgeon makes more, but like I say it depends! I think at this point maybe you should narrow your choices down from something different from pay, because either way you will be in a ton of debt once you get out of school. Good luck!

Surgeons do, I worked with a group of heart surgeons and they made at lest 300,000 a year at lest. The catch is, you will have not much of a home life, you will be on call what feels like all the time. You will start work at about 7 a.m. and if you are lucky get out by 6 p.m. That does not include your pager going off every 2 min. after you get home with a question about one of your patients, that in all reality could have waited til the next day. Lawyers can make good money, but I also know some that make like 50,000 a year and work their buts off for it.
