Are a c.n.a. and a medical assistant the same thing?

Can a medical assistant apply for a cna job?

  • I'm a medical assistant and i was wondering if i can apply for a cna job? isn't it the same thing? thanks for all your answers

  • Answer:

No it's much different training. CNAs are basically patient care assistants as that is all they do basically...care for patients. MAs we tend to patients but we also do the office work as well as the financial side

No. Certified Nursing Assistant needs to be certified and licensed by the state. If you do not have your CNA certification, you are not qualified for the job.
