hello friend, for you to pursue nursing you have to do nursing course, it can be either a degree or a diploma course also, but informatics will not help you anywhere.. go request you to do the nursing and come out with flying colors. good luck my friend.

Informatics? Are you referring to using a computer at work-patient related? You will be taught and trained to use the system because not all hospitals use the same system / program.
