What path would be best for a career in developing medicine?

I'd like to formulate new treatments. Which sort of degree is best: -Doctor -Surgery -Biomedical science/biotechnology

career development is the doctor. then you have the intern ship and learn things from the current staff and how to best approach life situations. that would be best. when I went to the doctor in 2005 for a general check up there was an intern. he wanted to mentor the person. you may want to pursue that approach best and if you meet a nice person will always sheppard you.
