  The best paying jobs are sales jobs - and you don't need a degree. If you are a good salesperson, you can sell anything - cars, industrial software, any big ticket items. When you think of "high salary", you have to consider these things: 1) If "anyone" can do it and lots of people want to do it, the salary will be low. 2) if few can do it, salary will be higher (think brain surgeon). 3) If anyone can do it but no one wants to do it, the salary will be higher (think construction workers who work outside in the elements, like the "flag girl" - they make good money when they're working). Lots of people want to "work at home", make money surfing the internet, do medical transcriptions, work at call centers, do individual taxes, so those are low paying jobs. Few people want to poop scoop people's yards, do financial analysis, repo cars, so those jobs pay better (although you might get shot at).
