    Dr. K has answered #1 & #2 well but on #3 the answer is a little off base. depending on where you get your PTA will determine which and how many of the classes transfer to the university you attend to complete a masters degree for PT. do some investigating and have these discussions with the school you attend for your PTA and with any schools you may consider to go on to for your masters prior to making a final decision. as the populous continues to age the need for health care workers, in general and those who work with the elderly and in restorative fields in particular, will be in very high demand. any related field pays well, will be in high demand and has the benefit of being extremely rewarding.

Since PTA is an associate degree, and PT is a master's degree or doctorate degree, the answer is none of your classes will transfer.
